Locate East Sussex were armed with a fresh new logo, but felt limited in how to commincate their offering on a wide range of applications. With big plans both internally, and for the businesses in the county they wanted to ensure they didn’t miss the boat.
To build a brand that positions and establishes Locate East Sussex as the go to organisation for businesses in the South. A county with a diverse and entrepreneurial mindset, it was imperative that communications aligned with Locates' approach when helping companies launch, grow and attract new business investment. Our aim was to evolve the brand beyond the basics, where a new suite of assets were created to dynamically engage both visually and verbally.
Locate East Sussex
With the website being the first major brand application for Locate East Sussex, there was an obvious need for it to instantly connect with their varied, but engaged audience.
To effectively communicate directly to each visitor, no matter their industry, location or business level, a dedicated user hub was developed to bring tailored content direct to them. Ultimately, stripping back unnecessary content, and presenting exactly what their business needs require.
Unifying the brands communications with a suite of assets that builds brand awareness and successfully combines the many facets of Locates' offering.
The core chevron marque was explored, where it becomes a key brand device. Stripped back iconography, engaging graphics and line art animations sit alongside a bright, and sophisticated brand palette. Photography of the businesses, and the locations they operate in, are incorporated to underpin exactly what Locate East Sussex, and the county has to offer.
Matt and Dan were fantastic to work with. They were creative, focused and unfazed by our challenging brief. They took on our site design just after we had refreshed our logo, taking the logo and extending our brand digitally. The website being the first major application of our new identity.
Their striking design helped to realise all we were trying to achieve with our brand refresh – communicating our distinctiveness, and our new ways of thinking about design, and above all our case-studies of the incredibly unique and interesting businesses that we have helped grow in East Sussex.
